Free, Configurable Ceramic Casserole Template to Print
Moldea generates the full template for a slab-built casserole: the cylindrical body with its base, the two identical ears and the flat lid that rests on the rim. Set the diameter, height and ear size, and download a pattern enlarged for your clay's shrinkage, ready to print at true 1:1 scale.
A cylindrical casserole with a flat lid that rests on the rim and two identical ears, one on each side. The default is 200mm in diameter by 80mm tall, with 40×28mm ears — every measurement is adjustable.
How to use the template
Open the tool with the casserole already selected and adjust diameter, height and ear size with the sliders.
Check the 3D preview, which also shows the ears and the lid as an approximate reference.
Print at true 1:1 scale (with the 100×100mm calibration square) or download the SVG.
Assemble the cylinder and the base, attach the two ears (cut twice from the same pattern) and cut the lid as a flat disc with some overlap on the rim.
Frequently asked questions
What size is the casserole by default?
200mm in diameter by 80mm tall, with 40×28mm ears. Every measurement is adjustable.
Does the template include the lid and the ears?
Yes: the lid is a flat disc with some overlap on the rim, and the ear is cut once and repeated twice, one on each side, since they're identical.
Does the 3D preview show the lid and the ears?
Yes, as an approximate reference for shape and position; the flat pattern is always the one that counts.
