Free, Configurable Ceramic Letters & Numbers Template to Print

Moldea generates flat letters and numbers to cut from a clay slab: type any text you want (with line breaks to build several rows, a name for example), set the letter height and spacing, and download the pattern at true 1:1 scale, in a heavy typeface that won't break when cut or fired.

How the letters work

Each character is drawn as a flat piece ready to cut from a slab, in a heavy typeface (Archivo Black) so it doesn't break when cut or fired. Type any text you want, using line breaks to build several rows (a name, for example). By default the letters are 60mm tall with 6mm of spacing — adjustable.

How to use the template

  1. Open the tool with Letters & numbers already selected, type your text (one line per row) and adjust the letter height and spacing.
  2. Check the 3D preview, which extrudes each letter's real outline to an illustrative slab thickness.
  3. Print at true 1:1 scale (with the 100×100mm calibration square) or download the SVG.
  4. Lay each printed letter on the clay slab and cut around the outline; let it dry thoroughly before firing.
